Painting Country with Paula Payne

Using the She Sees, She Feels, She Makes exhibition as inspiration, children will learn to mix earth colours and use stencilling to create their own paintings on canvas and paper.

Children can bring a photo of one of their favourite places or can use the supplied Scenic Rim images for inspiration. 

Suitable for ages 7+. Materials supplied. Children to wear an old shirt or apron and closed-in shoes.

Roll up! Roll up! with Flipside Circus

Children won’t need to run away to experience the magic of the big top when the Flipside Circus workshops come to town.
These holidays we have two workshops for Flipperoos (4 - 7yrs) and BIG Flipperoos (7yrs +) at Beaudesert and Boonah.

Flipperoos will have fun in a bouncy, active two-hour workshop with lots of circus play. BIG Flipperoos will learn new tricks on the ground and in the air including, juggling, mini tramp, tumbling and hoops!

Children to bring water bottle and wear comfortable clothing.

Raffia Basket Making with Glennys Briggs (Taungwurrung & Yorta Yorta Communities) 

Children will be guided to learn about first nations culture included in the current She Sees, She Feels, She Makes exhibition. Using traditional and contemporary weaving techniques, children will create their own small raffia and wool basket to take home. Participants will also see traditional Dilly bags and grass baskets during the workshop. 

Suitable for children aged 7+. Materials supplied. Children to wear closed in shoes.

Kids' Flicks are not just for kids - during the school holidays, family-friendly movies are screened at one low price for everyone.

Tickets: $5 (includes drink + snack) and are available to purchase at the Box Office on the day of screening.

Please note: No trailers - Movies start at advertised screening time

Scenic Rim Dance Camp with Queensland Ballet

Queensland Ballet is back to lead a four day ballet camp over the winter school holidays with a program themed to include three main dance techniques of ballet, jazz and contemporary. There will be a showing for family and friends on the final day of the camp.

Suitable for Juniors 5-10yrs & Seniors 11-16yrs. No minimum dance experience required - all levels catered for. 

Tickets: $180 per child (includes Queensland Ballet tshirt)
