IN CABARET WORKSHOPS

2017 sees the launch of our In Cabaret series. Part incubator, part skill development opportunity for new and emerging performers, it includes the elements of vocal training, stage presence, stage craft, an introduction to stage makeup, working with an audience and peer critique.
The program is being offered to emerging and aspiring creative around the Scenic Rim through and Expression of Interest process, and participants have the opportunity to perform at the Fires on top of Mountains events during April 2018.

OPEN MIC NIGHTS

The Open Mic Nights will be another opportunity for singers, musicians and entertainers of any genre to entertain. From July 14, monthly "Open Mic Nights" are planned for Beaudesert, Boonah and Tamborine Mountain. Performers register for performance slots.

STEEL ART WORKSHOP - 'Hold the Hammer Upside Down'

To be held 20-21 January 2018, this two day workshop is designed for existing artists interested in expanding their medium to include steel or steel workers who wish to extend their skills to include steel art pieces suitable for public display. Day 1 will be an introduction to Public art pieces, designing and contracts and creation to delivery. Day 2 will be set in a workshop environment and will discuss tools and equipment with some practical demonstrations, and plasma cutting a steel fire pit.
