Forums, artist talks, open studios, professional development workshops, cultural talks… There’s a lot to talk about, discover and share in Scenic Rim arts community. 


Arts Dinners are designed to stimulate creative industry and cultural development across the Scenic Rim. These free events focus on networking, skill development, and community conversations about things that matter for the arts in our community. Expect a fun night with live entertainment and stimulating discussions.

  • 10 December 6pm for 6:30pm, The Centre Beaudesert: Wrap Up of 2019, Networking and Christmas Celebrations


Part conference and part festival, Arts Ablaze will be a regional celebration of arts and culture staged at the Ramada Resort Kooralbyn from 2 to 6 October 2019. 


The Arts Ablaze is funded by the Australian Government through the Building Better Regions Fund, and proudly supported by The Regional Arts Services Network, an initiative of the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), a partnership between the Queensland Government and Scenic Rim Regional Council to support local arts and culture in Regional Queensland, CQ University Australia and the Ramada Resort Kooralbyn Valley.




Writers from around the Scenic Rim are welcome to join this group which meets the first Tuesday of every month, 10am - 2pm, at The Centre, Beaudesert. The objectives of the group are to hold writing events and workshops to build skills, support each other and develop networks. 

QWC provides a mentoring role to the group and assists with editing, masterclasses and publications. For more information, contact Alisa Rolley




The Memory Cafe is a place where people with dementia and carers can be themselves, share stories, discover helpful hints or simply enjoy the food and great company. There are also regular guest speakers. For more information, contact Centacare on (07) 5541 1653.

Memory Cafe will take place at The Centre, Beaudesert on the following dates in 2019:
