This program has been designed for you.
During June and July 2022, internationally renowned multi-discipline artist, Donna Davis, will be Artist-in-Residence at Scenic Rim's cultural and community centres in Beaudesert and Tamborine Mountain. Donna will facilitate a diverse and interactive program of panel discussions, one-on-one consultancy sessions, workshops, demonstrations and more, exploring connections with art and science with a particular focus on flora, ecosystems and climate change.
This program is presented in association with her exhibition, When a Tree Falls, on show at The Centre Beaudesert as part of Life in Focus exhibition, from 11 June to 13 August 2022.
This Artist-in-Residence program is proudly presented by Scenic Rim Regional Council and supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), a partnership between the Queensland Government and Scenic Rim Regional Council to support local arts and culture in Regional Queensland.

ARTIST IN STUDIO DROP-IN SESSIONS
Donna Davis will be working on new artworks in her pop-up studio at The Centre Beaudesert. Drop in to chat and watch her creative process. Open to all, especially those with an interest in plants, and ecology and art and science.

FIELD AND STUDIO WORKSHOP
Saturday 23 July 2022, 10am-3pmField and Studio Workshop with Donna Davis: Exploring the intersections between art and science. This is a field visit to a local rainforest with ecologist Dr Melinda Laidlaw and includes photography (mobile device), nature observation, identification skills, and art-making activity.
