WORKSHOP
GOLD MOVES AUSTRALIA - Dance for Life is split into two sessions as follows. You can choose just the one or both.
Please register for both if you wish to stay on after the morning session; places are limited:
- 11am - 12.15pm: Yes, You Can Dance! Dance for older people with mobility issues due to sedentary lifestyles or health conditions. There are options to dance seated, standing, holding on to something, behind a chair, or using a walker.
- 1.30 - 3pm: Dance for Active Seniors: This all standing class is for seniors who are physically active though lack the ability to move quickly. There is also some slightly more challenging dance content for those seniors who are more capable.
Please bring a water bottle, and it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes. Some light refreshments will be offered at the end of the afternoon session.

Gold Moves Australia was established by award winning educators, Gail Hewton and Julie Chenery, who between them bring 80 years of professional dance experience as artists, educators, community practitioners, and producers. 'We see dance as an elixir for life! Dance offers a myriad of benefits especially transforming the health and wellbeing of older people. This transformative power has a positive ripple effect on families, friends, community and society in general. We want to share this dance potion with communities throughout Australia.'
