A tree has been planted in memory of every serviceman who paid the supreme sacrifice during World War I and II. A memorial plaque resides next to the tree, individually recognising the person.
The memorial walk commemorates local families who lost loved ones during the first world war. It starts from outside the school and the main stand of trees grows on the pavement around DJ Smith park. During November, Remembrance Day, the Flame trees are all red in flower (symbolic of the red poppy). It's a beautiful display
