'Hold the Hammer Upside Down' Workshop

This two day workshop is designed for existing artists interested in expanding their medium to include steel or steel workers who wish to extend their skills to include steel art pieces suitable for public display. The workshop will be facilitated by steel artist and blacksmith, Jeremy Runnalls who also has a background in State Government management of Public Art projects.

Day 1 will be an introduction to Public art pieces, designing and contracts from creation to delivery.

Day 2 will be set in a workshop environment and will discuss tools and equipment with some practical demonstrations, and plasma cutting a steel fire pit.


Please note:  There are limited places for this workshop.  Scenic Rim artists are required to submit an Expression of Interest through the link above, providing contact details and an overview of why they would like to do this workshop.

The deadline for EOIs Monday 15 January 2018 12noon.

Successful artists will be notified via email or phone by COB Monday 15 January 2018.
