LIFE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

Workshops and opportunities for lifelong learning and skill development: It’s the journey not the destination!

As part of our Windows to the World program for 2018 we are pleased to partner with ACPA (Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts), Queensland Writers Centre, Queensland Ballet, QAGOMA (Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art), Queensland Museums Network and Arts Queensland to present a range of opportunities for Scenic Rim communities.

SCENIC RIM WRITERS GROUP AND QUEENSLAND WRITERS CENTRE

Writers from around the Scenic Rim are welcome to join this group who meet the first Tuesday of every month from 10am to 2pm at The Centre Beaudesert. The objectives of the group are to hold writing events and workshops to build skills, support each other and develop networks. QWC provide a mentoring role to the group and assist with editing, masterclasses and publications.
Through 2016 and 2017 the group have been working with QWC on the development of a new anthology of stories about the Scenic Rim. The book The Word On The Street - An Anthology Of Stories About The Scenic Rim will be launched at the Opening of the Commonwealth Exhibition on the 6th April.
