Ramada Resort Kooralbyn Valley is located in the heart of the stunning countryside of the Scenic Rim, just 15 minutes south of Beaudesert, and has been ranked as the No. 1 Resort Golf Course in Queensland.  The resort is opening up its grounds for this free community event for all to enjoy. Accommodation is available, with 130 rooms on offer for those who wish to relax and stay on after the concert.

Shuttle buses will operate from parking areas in Kooralbyn to the resort throughout the day and evening. You won't have to miss any of the action at the Commonwealth Games either, as the Resort will be screening a live broadcast for the duration of the day.

From 10 am

The popular Food Truck Revolution will once again visit the Scenic Rim, showcasing local producers in partnership with the Funky Food Truck operators. Ramada Resort Kooralbyn Valley will also be hosting the ‘Big Aussie Barbeque’ and the grounds will be open for picnicking. There will be all day sports activities hosted by the resort and fun family activities hosted by Kelly Sports as part of Council's Be Healthy and Active Program.  Artisans from across the region will be presenting pop-up studios, with markets, demonstrations and workshops all day.  The In Cabaret stage kicks off mid-morning, featuring musicians from across the region, and roving performers will be mingling with picnic goers in the shady grounds of the resort.

 From 6pm

By night everything will transform.  The grounds will take on a magic quality as fires are lit in sculptural fire pits and storytellers weave the introduction to the upcoming fire finale.

After a traditional welcome, the combined Scenic Rim Peoples Orchestra from Tamborine Mountain, Beaudesert and Boonah will be joined by Musical Director Andrew Veivers, vocalist Kacey Patrick, Leeton Lee (didge),Jay Kleinschmidt (piano) and The Barre Dance School along with choirs, schools and community organisations from across the region in the fire procession.

The concluding fire and light fireworks spectacle will take place on the billabongs of the resort.  Be prepared to be amazed!
