Fires on Top of Mountains

Shared Fire Community Celebrations Beaudesert

Easter Monday 2 April

Share the spirit of the GC2018 Games

Jubilee Park in the centre of town is the site of the Beaudesert Shared Fire Community Celebration. Located at the cross roads that lead to all the mountains, national parks and great camping sites in the Scenic Rim, Jubilee Park is the ideal location for townies, nearby residents and visitors to enjoy the fun of these celebrations close to home or their vacation destination .
Adjacent to the Beaudesert pool and home to the Beaudesert Museum, Library, basketball half courts, skate park and adventure playground, this beautiful park will be a hive of activity.

From 4pm to 7.30pm  on Easter Monday the food truck revolution makes its way to Beaudesert. The Taste of the Scenic Rim  area in the park will feature Retro food vans  and street food vendors serving up incredible gourmet fare home grown and supplied by our local producers and a designated licenced area where you can  consume and purchase local wine and beers. There will be a picnic atmosphere in the air. The community has been busy making decorations and banners to transform the space. There will be roving street theatre, live entertainment, arts markets plus a vintage car and bike display to check out. Chill out in the park as the kids discover the jumping castle, face painting and family fun sport activities.

As night begins to fall gather around the sculptural fire pits for our community story sharing event and from 6.30pm enjoy the Shared Fire Ceremony featuring  welcome and storytelling by traditional owners, The Scenic Rim Peoples Orchestra, the flock fire and light procession and finally a massive laser light show sponsored by Beaudesert Chamber of Commerce
