ON EXHIBITION @ the Centre Beaudesert

Cal MacKinnon looks at different family structures across the Scenic Rim from the nuclear family to the single-parent, extended families, families with same-sex parents and grandparents who are raising another generation. 

Based in Beechmont, Cal is a Scenic Rim photographic artist with more than 20 years' experience. She has a broad range of interests and specialties including portraiture, heritage buildings and gardens - with a focus on heritage roses.

Louis Lim's series titled Over a Meal focuses on family mealtimes and shared dining experiences and how these weeknight dinner experiences shape family life. "Through this series, I wish to share and reveal our mundane practices that form us, and our society," he says.

Louis is a Brisbane-based photographer who explores the diversity in human conditions, specifically those unseen by today's saturated media.
