ARTISTS IN STUDIOS: MAKER SPACES EXHIBITION
 

CALLING SCENIC RIM ARTISTS

We are calling for entries from studio artists residing in Scenic Rim to submit an entry into the upcoming exhibition 'Artists in Studios: Maker Spaces' at The Centre Beaudesert. 

HOW TO ENTER

ARTWORKS & SIZE LIMITATIONS
Artwork presentation requirements: 1 artwork per artist. Work to be produced within the last 3 years.

All artworks to be supplied ready for exhibition.
2D work supplied with D-rings &/or chord securely attached to back of frame.
Size limitations of 2D works: max dimension of finished frame/canvas 60cm wide and 250cm max high. Artist to supply dimensions within their application.

3D work suitable to be displayed within The Centre lockable cabinets or on plinths or floor plates or light weight works that can be suspended within the atriums of the venue. Where required, artists to supply display stand/prop/system for 3D work (eg jewellery stand). Jewellery sets or small works in series will be accepted as long as they are within the size limitations.
Artist to supply dimensions, weight and installation requirements within their application.
Size & weight limitations of 3D works: max size 60cm wide x 60cm deep x 120cm high; 50kg max for floor work and 1kg max for small cabinet work. The Centre Beaudesert can display a limited number of larger 3D works.

ARTWORK FOR SALE

Works can be available for sale during the exhibition. Commission of 27.5% (incl gst) applies to all sales (Artists to add 38% to their price if work is for sale). Artists to indicate if work is for sale within their application.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

  • Limit 1 work per artist and story/description of your studio/maker space.
  • Full contact details of artist - full name, home address, postal address, email, mobile/phone, web address (optional).
  • Proposed Artwork: High res image of proposed artwork for exhibition with supporting information or short 150 word max statement about the work. Include full details about your work: title, year, medium, value, if for sale, dimensions & weight if 3D work.
  • Story / description of your Studio/Maker space: supply 200 (max) word  story/description of your studio/maker space with supporting photos. Your description will appear alongside your artwork as part of the exhibition. Council will prepare this didactic for display using your description and photos and may edit where necessary.

DUE DATE FOR ENTRIES: 1 August 2019.
Successful artists will be advised of confirmed dates and schedule.  Artworks to be delivered to the Centre Beaudesert early September 2019.

EXHIBITION DATES 13 Sept - 12 Oct 2019
Artworks to be delivered to the Centre Beaudesert early September and unsold work collected mid October 2019.  Successful artists will be advised of full schedule of dates and arrangements.
