Have you moved to Scenic Rim from a Commonwealth country?
Would you like to share your own story of relocating to a new country and be involved of an exciting cultural exhibition in 2018?

As part of Council's 2018 Cultural Program Windows to the World, Scenic Rim Regional Council Cultural Services is calling for stories from residents in the region to be included in The CommonWealth exhibition at The Centre Beaudesert in 2018.

This collection of local stories is titled My Commonwealth Experience and we are seeking stories of your experience. The display of your story may also include photographs or objects that are significant to your story. These items could be cultural pieces, mementoes, travel memorabilia, journey photographs etc.

The CommonWealth exhibition will reflect on what it is to move from your country of birth and live in Australia.  It will explore and acknowledge positive and difficult experiences of relocation, displacement and the plight of refugees and immigration.  You may remain anyonymous if you wish, due to personal circumstances or sharing of difficult stories. Please let us know.
