Five Senses Festival draws to a close.Tuesday 31stMay, (Judith Wright's birthday) from 3:30 to 5:00pm the Five Senses Festival art exhibition concludes with the  prize drawing  a work by Fiona Rafferty at the Tamborine Mountain Library.  All welcome

War Stories and Our Town : an Anthology from the Scenic Rim offers a glimpse into the ways that war has impacted the region and its residents, for better and for worse, from the experiences of soldiers and front-line fighting to the memories of the families left behind. Created as part of the Anzac Centenary celebrations the book is a collaboration between the Queensland Writers Centre, and the Scenic Rim Writers Group available for sale here

Dave Groom from Beechmont has almost finished his enormous 4. 2 metre painting for the Wynne Prize. The 40 successful entries will be hung in the Gallery of NSW alongside the portraits bidding for the Archibald prize.
