The Scenic Rim ARTS DINNERS are a professional and community skill development series which combine great speakers, networking, facilitation and workshops with great food and entertainment. Each Arts dinner addresses a theme identified as significant for the Arts Sector across our regions. This project is supported by the Scenic Rim Regiona Council who took over the greta work done in 2020-21 that wa sfunded through the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.

ARTS DINNER | 5 NOV 2022: HOW TO STAY COOL, CALM & COLLECTIVE

Saturday, 5 November at Canungra School of Arts Hall The theme of How to Stay Cool, Calm and Collective was discussed by creatives from around the region, including Andrew Wright from Goat Track Theatre Company, Kat Creasey from Olive View Estate and Only Goodtimes Co, Mick Angus from DMA Creative, and Courtney Guerin from Canungra's the 4275 Collective. They shared their perspectives on how to get arts initiatives off the drawing board and maintaining the momentum. |
ARTS DINNER | 7 MAY 2022: COMMUNITY CONNECT, CREATIVITY

Saturday, 7 May @ Olive View Estate, 58 Kulgan Road, Kulgan The five speakers were Valkyrie Blacksmith, Jo Davies, Natasha Edwards, Dee Steinford, and Paul Stumkat. The panel unpacked why it is important to have arts festivals and unique places for audiences to engage in, and with art.

Wednesday, 30 March @ The Centre Beaudesert There were three fabulous presenters (Bronwyn Davies, Lyndall Browning, and Ella Fence) from three very different backgrounds. The discussion revolved around the tools available to artists of all disciplines and genres to connect with audiences. |

Tuesday, 2 August @ The Centre Beaudesert The evening included a very special panel of national and international 'placemakers' expertly facilitated by Creative Director at Vast Yonder, Lincoln Savage. Scenic Rim Cultural Officer Heritage, RADF and Public Art, Mark Paddick, discussed the Story Trail project and what it means to our sense of place. |
